Age: 7 months old
Weight: 17 lbs 6 oz
Height: 27 inches
(We tried measuring her at home but she is such a wiggle worm that I cannot say that it is in any way accurate! But at the doctor’s about 3 weeks ago she was 17 lbs and 26.5 inches so I’m thinking we did a pretty good job…)
Watch Me Grow:
Milestones: Celia hit some major milestones last month. On April 12th she cut her first tooth! And a couple of weeks ago she officially became an expert crawler! Her favorite thing is to crawl to something that she can pull herself up on and stand. She already has great balance. Check out this super cute video Quay put together of her gradually learning to crawl.
Sleep: She’s been waking a little earlier these last couple of weeks- possibly due to teething. But I don’t mind it because she’ll wake up around 6 and then come sleep/cuddle in bed with us until Daddy gets up for work around 730. Still taking two solid naps during the day.
Best Moment: Hard to choose! So many fun things happened. I’d have to go with either her first time on the swings or her first time swimming in a pool. She LOVED both of them. And if you didn’t see the pictures check out these posts: Swings & Things, Swim Little Fishy Swim. She really does love the water. And bath time has become a lot more fun.
Worst Moment: At her 6 month appointment she got 3 more shots. But this time we had a “mean” nurse! She stabbed her with the needles so fast and left her poor little legs all bloody. She didn’t even bother to put the little bandages over the point of penetration- I found them all on random dripping blood. And Celia was absolutely horrified. I hate hearing her “hurt” cry. Worst sound in the world.
Eating: We have been trying so many new foods. Celia will now tolerate being spoonfed but still prefers doing things on her own. Although she may look like she doesn’t like this broccoli- TRUST ME she loved it. She especially loved making a mess… but just look at that face!
Health: We are so lucky to have such a happy and healthy baby. She’s perfect. And she’s definitely growing fast. Since she’s been born she usually does about 3 months in each clothing size. She just got into 6 month clothes but I have a feeling she’ll be moving onto 9 months way before August. We shall see!
Things I Want To Remember: I’m actually beginning to dread writing these posts. It means another month has gone by and my sweet baby girl is growing up. A few days ago, I said without thinking in regards to something that happened earlier this year, “when Celia was a baby…” LIKE HOLD UP. She’s still a baby! I know it’s silly, but she’s changed so much in just 6 months. I don’t view her as that little baby anymore. But she’ll only be getting bigger and will turn into a walking-talking toddler before I know it. So I want to remember her exactly like she is at this moment. My curious, spirited, funny, fearless, beautiful, little baby.
