Milestones: She’s been “talking” up a storm. She coos and smiles all day long for Mommy and Daddy. I’m in love with our little conversations and the new sounds she’s been making. She’s also getting so strong. She holds her head up with no problem (although she’s pretty much been doing that since day 1). We put her in the Bumbo for the first time on December 1st and she absolutely loved it.

Sleep: Celia’s been doing 7-9 hours at night in her crib. We seriously have the best little baby right here. She still loves falling asleep in her SwaddleMe and with her SleepSheep on the heartbeat sound. Since she’s been fascinated by all the lights, we got her a Ladybug nightlight (courtesy of our friend RJ, thanks again Reej!) which she now falls asleep with as well.

Best Moment: When I caught her tracking me across the room for the first time. I had put her down and walked away to go get something when I saw that her head was turned all the way towards me and she was smiling! She then followed me all the way back to her with that big gummy grin. She really knows how to melt mama’s heart.

Worst Moment: When I got mastitis. Not fun. Not fun at all. If you don’t know what it is and you’re curious just click on the word- I inserted a link.

Eating: She’s still breastfeeding for the most part but we’re now supplementing with two 4 oz bottles of formula. She’s on the smaller side, I believe the 15th percentile for weight. So we switched over to powder, the Gerber Good Start Gentle and use the Dr. Brown’s bottles which have helped tremendously with her spit up and gassiness.

Health: Once again the doctor says she’s perfect. She got her first shots today. Three of them. Three long needles in my baby’s legs! I was talking to her and holding her hands as she was looking up at me when out of the corner of my eye, I saw the first needle penetrate her skin. Then Celia let out this little wail and quickly inhaled, held her breath with the saddest face I’ve ever, EVER seen, and SCREAMED. It was so hard seeing her in pain, looking so betrayed. Like: “You’re supposed to PROTECT me from these things, Mommy!” But she was over it in two minutes, although I don’t know if I was.

Things I Want To Remember: All her tiny little newborn clothes and all the precious memories we made in them. I finally packed them all away today and I may have had a moment or two with them. It is crazy how time is flying and how fast she is growing. I’m trying my best to take it all in everyday. Her little hands, toes, ears, nose and mouth. They won’t be so tiny forever.
